Manchester United, who are currently in third place with 50 points, will come into the clash on the back of a 3-1 win over Fulham. They have been in good form lately and are looking to cement their place in the top four. Newcastle United, who are fifth with 47 points, have had a mixed season so far, but they will be hoping to put in a strong performance to close the gap on their opponents.
The potential lineups for this match are yet to be announced, but it is expected that Manchester United will stick with their regular 4-2-3-1 formation, with David de Gea in goal and a back four of Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. In midfield, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen are likely to start, with Anthony Martial, Antony, and Marcus Rashford making up the attacking trio.
For Newcastle United, Eddie Howe is expected to go with a 4-4-2 formation.
The referee for this game has yet to be announced, but whoever takes charge will have a difficult job on their hands.
Given the current form of both teams, Manchester United are the favorites to win this match. They have more quality in their squad and have been more consistent this season, so they should be able to edge out their opponents. However, Newcastle United are a dangerous side and have the quality to cause an upset, so it should be a closely fought affair.
