My Receptionist Has Better Degree Than Peter Obi

Nigerian socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, on Thursday took to social media to mock Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his educational qualification.

The former presidential aide took a swipe at Obi, saying even his aide has a better school qualification that the former Governor of Anambra State.

Naija News recalls that following controversies and trolls about Obi’s education, his Spokesperson, Valentine Obienyem on Wednesday published the presidential hopeful’s degree certificate online.

The school result as shared by Obienyem showed that Obi obtained his bachelor’s degree certificate in Philosophy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1984.

Reacting, however, to the LP candidate’s qualification, Omokri in a post via his verified Twitter page, said even his receptionist has a better school certificate than Obi does.

Omokri’s tweet read: “Even my receptionist while I was in government has a better degree than Obi. After all this noise on social media, it is only a Second Class degree in Philosophy that your messiah has? Zenith Bank will not even employ such an educationally challenged character!”

The General Overseer of the Evangelical Outreach Ministries International, Prophet Isa El-Buba on Thursday slammed Shehu Mahdi, a Kaduna-based activist, regarding his inciting statement on LP presidential candidate and Christians from Northern Nigeria.

In a viral video which drew a barrage of reactions, Mahdi alleged that Northerners both Christians and Muslims are being discriminated against in the South East, South West, and South-South, regardless their religion.

According to the Katsina-born activist, a vote for a Christian Southern candidate, particularly Obi will amount to a vote for Biafra, and a secessionist.

Shehu further urged northern Christians not to vote for Peter Obi, accusing him of being a Biafran.

Speaking on the development on Thursday, Prophet El-buba, a northerner, debunked Madhi’s remarks about northern Christians in the South, adding that he is currently ministering at a church program in the South.

El-buba further urged northern Christians and northern Muslims to prove “these wicked men and women that their time is up.”

He added that it was part of his calling not to limit himself to the pulpit when Nigerians are suffering, he vowed to declare what he described as the “counsel of God” from the pulpit and move to the street if need be.
