FIGC has officially announced the transfer sessions will run from September 1 to October 5 2020 and January 4 to February 1 2021.
The decision had already been in the air and was confirmed this afternoon by a statement from the Italian Football Federation.
Because the 2019-20 season is extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, naturally the transfer session over the summer will also have to be shuffled along the calendar.
Clubs will be able to register players for the 2020-21 season from Tuesday September 1 to Monday October 5, with the deadline at 20.00 local time (19.00 in the UK).
The 2020-21 Serie A season is expected to begin on September 12.
The January transfer window will run from Monday January 4 2021 to Monday February 1 at 20.00 local time (19.00 in the UK).
