Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dissolved the state executive council.
Wike announced the dissolution after a special executive meeting in Government House, Port Harcourt on Thursday evening.
Earlier, the commissioners took turns to eulogise the governor for his landmark achievements in the state.

Osinbajo Takes Shettima On Familiarisation Tour Of Aso Villa

Outgoing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday, took the Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima on a comprehensive tour of the Vice President’s Wing of the Presidential Villa, as part of a familiarisation exercise.
Following a meeting by the duo, Shettima spoke to State House Correspondents, expressing his intentions to exchange ideas and collaborate with Osinbajo in advancing the nation.
He praised the Vice President for his courtesy in personally showing him around the offices, emphasising the importance of cross-pollination of ideas.

Four days before he hands over to Nigeria’s new leader, President Muhammadu Buhari has announced new appointments.
On Thursday, President Buhari approved the appointment of Garzali Abubakar as the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund, a presidential spokesperson said.
“The president also approved the appointment of the following as Chairman and members of the Board of the organisation,” Garba Shehu wrote.

Founder, Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain Of Favour, Egbatedo, Agege, Lagos, Prophet Ajibade, has warned those planning evil against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-elect, to desist from doing so or face the full wrath of the Almighty God.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Church’s auditorium, Prophet Ajibade said, “Thus say the Lord: Every storm of the enemies raging to kill Bola Tinubu will fail. Their efforts against him will receive multiple failures.
“God said he has granted him all his heart’s desires that he will rule Nigeria successfully and in a stable condition of good health.
Our prayers on the mountain for Tinubu during the presidential primary and general elections came to pass. He should rest assured that all those who stormed the presidential election tribunal to challenge his victory will come out weeping profusely.
“His enemies have failed. He and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu should be more prayerful and careful of their special advisers and security details.”
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his running mate, Alh. Kashim Shettima will be sworn in as President and Vice President, respectively, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday, May 29, 2023.
