The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in this year’s elections, Mr Peter Obi, has promised to bring back a new Nigeria where every citizen will be proud to belong.

He lamented that presently, Nigerians are ashamed to identify themselves as Nigerians because of the many challenges the country is faced with.

Speaking in Kaduna on Wednesday while flagging off his presidential campaign in the North, Peter Obi said: “Kaduna was the capital of Northern Nigeria where every Nigerian was proud to belong, hence we started the campaign here in Kaduna. We are about to bring back that Nigeria where everybody was happy to belong. Kaduna State represented productivity in the North. It represented what was good in Nigeria. And that is what we want to bring back. We are tired of hearing stories.”

Win Your Polling Units To Get Appointments—Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has given conditions for members of the party to get appointments or contracts from his government when elected.

According to him, individuals eyeing any position in the coming government must win their polling units during the 2023 elections.

Atiku spoke on Wednesday during a stakeholders meeting held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

For the party to emerge victorious in the coming elections, the former Vice President said members must go back to their constituencies and work for the party to win the election.

Why merger with Obi didn’t materialise – Kwankwaso

The New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Wednesday, gave insight into why the much-talked-about merger with Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, didn’t materialise.

Tinubu’s primary school never existed, group tells court

A human rights organisation under the aegis of the Incorporated Trustees of Advocacy for Social Right Advancement and Development Initiative has told Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of a Federal High Court in Abuja, that the St. Paul Aroloya Primary School in Lagos which the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claimed to have attended was never in existence.

The organisation, therefore, said that Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, should be tried for perjury.

The aggrieved police officers called on President Muhammadu buhari to probe the IGP and his predecessors over the alleged sales.

Speaking with SaharaReporters, the policemen identified Bompai barracks in Kano State and the Bar Beach police station in Lagos State as the latest properties to be sold by the police authorities.

“Please, help us ask IGP Baba why the police authorities are selling government property. We want the federal government to investigate him and all the former IGPs. Baba has sold another property in Victoria Island, NEPA close. The Bar beach police station just sold by Baba is adjacent to MRS filling station,” an officer told SaharaReporters.
