President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday attributed the successes recorded by his administration to the harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Legislature, as well as refused to meddle with the affairs of the Legislature and promoted instead, a culture of mutual respect and collaboration between the two arms.
Buhari, who disclosed this during the official commissioning of the permanent site of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), expressed optimism that the magnificent complex has the potential to significantly boost the capacity of the legislature in Nigeria and Africa at large.
10th Senate: Don’t Betray North West, Arewa Youths Tell Tinubu

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, a group under the aegis of Arewa Youths of Nigeria (AYON) has called on the President-elect, Bola Tinubu not to betray the North West, which gave him 30 per cent votes in the just concluded presidential election.
The group while reminding that he is not known as a use and dump leader, said that they were surprised, dismayed, and appalled when they read in the news that the President-Elect was supporting a South-South candidate for Senate President rather than the North-west that gave him the most votes in the election.
Adamu Releases White Papers On 42 Higher Institutions

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has released Gazetted White Papers of the Presidential Visitation Exercise, an evaluation document for 42 institutions, that took place between 2011 and 2020 to the public. The minister who released the document on Thursday, in Abuja, said the exercise plays a pivotal role in ensuring that institutions of higher education fulfil their intended objectives.
He said the well-being and success of students, faculty, and the Nigerian populace as a whole depended on the effective execution of the recommendations contained in the document. According to him, the release of the documents signifies the government’s commitment to ensuring the highest standards of education and academic excellence in the nation’s universities.
