Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso
Kano state government has threatened to challenge the Bureau for Public Enterprise, BPE in court over the recent privatisation of Kano Power Distribution Company.
Speaking with members of Kano Renaissance Think Tank (KRTT) at the Government House in Kano on Wednesday, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso said that the privatisation exercise lacked transparency as the state government was not duly consulted, arguing that the whole arrangement is defective.
The Governor insisted that under any such arrangement, the state government ought to be fully contacted on anything relating to the privatisation exercise because the government has a right over whatever affects people of the state.
