Arsenal held a 2-0 lead over Crystal Palace at the break in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Palace gave the home side a fright in the early stages when Wilfried Zaha struck the post. However, the North Londoners soon took the upper hand when Gabriel Martinelli netted his 13th Premier League goal of the campaign before Bukayo Saka put Mikel Arteta’s men in command with a fine finish before the interval.

Soon after the interval, Granit Xhaka made it three after exchanging passes with Leandro Trossard in the final third before receiving it to smash his left footed effort into the bottom left corner.

The Eagles got a consolation goal through Jeffrey Schlupp who slotted in Olise’s corner kick, before Saka sealed the win.

This win will see the Gunners extend their lead over Manchester City by 8 points, while the Managerless Palace side will drop down the Premier League table.

After the international break, the Gunners will host Leeds United at the Emirates, while Crystal Palace welcome Leicester City to Selhurst Park.
