Recall on Wednesday at the valedictory program organized in honor of the outgoing president Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja where Festus Keyamo delivered a speech where he stated that the office of the Minister of State into which he was appointed was not acknowledged by the Nigerian Constitution and should therefore not be embraced by future administrations.

However, the statement made by Festus Keyamo has been criticized by both prominent and ordinary Nigerians who demanded that Keyamo should return his salaries and emoluments he received from the government in the past four years as Minister of State for Labour and Employment.

On that note, in the wake of the backlash that greeted his recent statement on the illegality of his appointment as Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo took to his microblogging, Twitter page, some hours ago, to share a photo of himself taking a cup of tea to mock the critics, asking him to return his salaries and emoluments he received from the government.

According to Festus Keyamo, he made it known that he was sipping a cup of tea at the Council Chambers after the valedictory FEC meeting.

However, Festus Keyamo concluded his statement by asking his critics whether he should return the tea too.

In his tweet, he wrote below :

“Sipping a cup of tea yesterday at the Council Chambers after the valedictory FEC meeting. For those who have been struggling with the difference between ‘appointment’ and ‘designation’ (including my dear wannabe ‘outspoken journalists’) should I return the tea too?”
