Major General Muhammadu buhari (retired), the president, declared on Friday in Washington, DC, that he had provided the Independent National Electoral Commission with the necessary funding to ensure the success of the elections in 2023.
In light of this, the President stated that he would not accept any justifications from the electoral umpire based on a lack of funding.
In an interactive session titled “A conversation with President Muhammadu buhari of Nigeria,” buhari responded to a question about INEC’s readiness for the 2023 elections by saying, “I made sure they were given all the resources they asked for because I don’t want any excuses that they were denied funds by the government.”
The United States Institute of Peace, the International Republican Institute, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems co-hosted the event, according to a statement signed on Saturday by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
The sentence’s title is President buhari claimed at USIP that the agricultural revolution in Nigeria produced over 13 million jobs in just seven years.
Because I didn’t want any justifications that INEC had been denied funding by the government, buhari stated, “I made sure they were given all the resources they asked and they are ready.”
