The English Premier League returns to action this weekend after some exciting midweek action that saw several Premier League clubs reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA competition. Today’s match continued with an exciting match between Aston Villa and Bournemouth. Unai Emery’s men secured a comfortable and important win over Bournemouth at Villa Park.
Leicester City drew 1-1 with Brentford days after losing to Chelsea. Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur drew 3-3 with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium, with James Ward-Prowse equalizing from the penalty spot in the last minute.
Chelsea FC drew with Sean Dyche’s Everton at Stamford Bridge. The Blues dominated the first half despite an aerial threat from the Toffees. The second half began and João Felix gave Chelsea the lead.
Everton got back into the game through Doucoure, but Kai Havertz’s penalty lifted the Blues to 9th in the league, but Everton scored an equalizer to keep the Blues level.
