A Friend Of Mine Was Killed On Saturday, And He Was The Campaign Coordinator For Tonye Cole -Kogbara

A popular newspaper columnist and former BBC and Times of London journalist, Donu Kogbara has reacted towards the just concluded polls in Rivers state that saw Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP emerging victorious against Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Donu Kogbara who was speaking on Arise lamented over the reported unruly act in the state during the polls, where he stressed that she had a friend who was killed on Saturday, being the day of the gubernatorial election.

She said the friend of hers who was killed during the mayhem was the campaign coordinator for the All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in Rivers, being Tonye Cole.

Donu Kogbara who condemned his unfortunate death further added that she isn’t completely against the APC as many may have thought, as she was aware that the deceased Leonard Chisom was only trying to defend the votes in his ward.

In her words…”I don’t know why we have to be the poster boy for murder and mayhem. A friend of mine was killed in Saturday, his name was Leonard Chisom. He was the campaign coordinator for Tonye Cole of the APC which by the way shows that I am not always against APC as some people think, and apparently he was trying to defend his votes on his wards”
