Nigerian recording artiste, Lil Kesh real name Keshinro Ololade recently revealed that he has been battling depression behind the closet.
Lil Kesh who was a protegee of the indigenous rapper, Olamide in the mid-2010s spoke about how he has been trying to create a balance between his personal life and music career. He opened up to his fans on his social media platform on Wednesday, January 13.
According to Lil Kesh meditating, eating healthy and ignoring negative voices in your head is how you can fight for happiness.
In his words;
“If you’re depressed talk to someone, meditate if you can, eat healthily; exercise often, get enough sleep.
Pray and ignore those negative voices in your head…..that was how I fought for my happiness. Fight.”
He further urged fans to also be nice to people as they may be going through a lot irrespective of their status.

“Some of the richest people you know are poor on the inside; do not be fooled they also cry; mental health is real, be nice to people.”
Lil Kesh’s statement is coming several weeks after Wande Coal hinted that he was going through a turbulent phase in his personal life.
Wande Coal opened up on his mental health struggles on the microblogging site, Twitter. He went on a spree on Twitter where he revealed he has been through a lot of late.
He wrote, “My eyes seen many things this year…”
