Nigerian act, Burna Boy is the recipient of the “Best African Act” at the recently concluded MTV EMA Awards on Sunday, November 3.
Burna Boy who won the best artist of the year in the recently concluded Headies has stunned his fans yet again as he wins another international award.
Burna Boy is indeed one of Nigeria’s biggest music export at the moment. Recall, the music star bagged, BET Award also some months ago.
The ‘Ye’ crooner just won an award at MTV EMA as the ‘Best African Act’. This is his first-ever nomination and eventual win in the category.
Burna Boy was nominated with other top African music acts like Teni, Prince Kaybee, Nasty C, Toofan, and Harmonize.

He is currently on a European tour and has visited cities like Amsterdam, Brussels, Munich, London and Paris already. With sold-out shows in Manchester United and Leicester still to come, it has indeed been an incredible year for Burna.
The singer was born Damini Ogulu in Lagos in 1991. He began making music at just ten years old when a fellow classmate at school gave him a copy of the production software FruityLoops. Armed with these means, he began to create his own beats on an old computer.
Today, he is one of the major acts spearheading the Afropop music scene across the world.
