Nigerian music legends 2Baba and Blackface have opted for the settlement of their legal dispute out of court.
2Face who signed an undisclosed settlement agreement at the Ikeja High Court reportedly dropped his N50m defamation lawsuit against Blackface, his bandmate at the defunct Plantashun Boyz.
Insiders, however, revealed that Blackface agreed not to publicly call out 2Face while the ‘African Queen’ crooner agreed to work out an agreement that will enable Blackface to earn royalties.
This came days after he dared Blackface to sue him if he has concrete evidence against him instead of engaging in a smear campaign.
Blackface who confirmed they were indeed in court today on Instagram, shared a photo with his lawyers.
He wrote “Earlier today @ the Ikeja high court with my #legalteam Thanks for una support and services, Details coming soon”
Blackface reignites feud with 2Baba in 2019
A couple of months ago, Blackface reignited the feud between himself and his former bandmate, 2Baba.
Black Face, real name Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo vowed to end the fascinating music career of 2Baba by unleashing some secrets in his closet.
He even went to release a diss track titled ‘war’. On this song, he hinted that 2Baba was gay and he owes him an undisclosed amount of money.
The controversial singer has not been on good terms with 2Baba for almost two decades. This animosity commenced in 2004 when 2Baba released the hit single ‘, African Queen’.
According to Black Face, he wrote the hit single and wrote other songs for 2Baba, however, he was never credited for his contributions.
Both talented artistes were members of the now-defunct R&B trio Plantainshun Boys which also consisted of Faze.
